Before leaving the boat on Sunday 20 December 2015, checked the batteries state of charge via voltmeter. Fore: 12.67v Aft:12.3v. A month had passed since the batteries were charged, at that time used the alternator during the trip up from Yacht Haven Annapolis Eastport MD . Connected the Newmar ABC123 15 amp battery charger to shore power and turned on the charger. The immediate reading was about 5 to 7 amps.
Upon returning to the boat on Monday 21 December 2015, the ammeter reading had fallen to near zero, with the needle bouncing off zero. Disconnected the battery charger from shore power and turned off the charger.
