- Removed abandoned copper tube fuel from previously removed fuel take.
- Removed four pairs of unused bundled from engine space and separated them from the rest of the wiring back to the area below the middle portside locker. In addition there was a single grey wire, unattached to anything, that was removed from the engin room back to the area below the middle portside locker. This grey wire terminates at a screw attached to the exterior of a coax fitting connecting two pieces serving the VHF ?
- Attached Groco
1-1/4" ball value to the engine exhaust thruhull. Wrapped threads with PFTE tape.
- Attached 1-1/4" tail piece to ball value just installed. Wrapped threads with PFTE tape.
- Attached engine exhaust hose to 1-1/4" tail piece and secured with two hose clamps.
- Found possible engine zinc location in starboard side of rear engine heat exchanger cap.
- Checked VHF -- receives.
- Running lights -- work, but stern light lens too fogged/degraded to use. Must be replaced.
- Checked GPS -- works.
- Checked batteries: 12.65v fore, 12.30v aft
- Added HDX racheting tie down strap encircling diesel fuel take and its support shelf.
- Decide upon routing of seawater hose from thruhull to tee fitting, for rinse and antifreeze, to strainer, and on to sea water cooling pump
- Drilled hose for replacement thruhull in galley using Milwalkee Hole-Dozer hole saw. Very easy. Took a few minutes due to my caution, not the effort required.
