Last year in the Rankin Regatta , we pulled the gooseneck fitting track away from the mast. A main clew reef turning block was attached to a loop built into the bottom of the gooseneck fitting. The main clew reefing line, when tightened, placed tension aft and downward on the block. The aft tension pulled the track from the main. Reattached the gooseneck track by drilling and tapping the next larger size machine screws into the mast. Re-ran the main clew reefing line to a block from the forward end of the boom.

Bent on the sails, rigged the lines, and went sailing. Rusty...had to re-run both a spinnaker sheet and the spinnaker topping lift, downhaul lines.

Had difficulty lowering the main, the topmost slides would get hung up. Had to encourage the sail down. This would come back to bite us .
