Only three boats came out to race: Argo #247, Second-2-Nun #484, and Wicked #267. First race for Wicked owned by Ross Arnett. Course was "B4R". Quiet start at the pin about 3 lengths behind Second-2-Nun. Wicked was over early. Close reach out to the "A" and "D" drop marks with Second-2-Nun leading the entire way. Had closed slightly by the time we reached the "D" drop mark. Second-2-Nun tacked over to starboard upon reaching "D", Argo continued out a bit then tacked as well in order to get somewhat to windward of Second-2-Nun. Wicked was third at the "D" drop mark. Over the course of five boards to windward, gained markedly upon Second-2-Nun. Argo took the lead.

Upon rounding the weather mark, the "B" drop mark, raised the chute. Course lead to R"A" and then R"4". From R"A" to R"4", course changed from a downwind run to a narrow broad reach. Dropped the chute at R"4" leaving all lines attached so that it could be redeployed upon rouing R"8". Bit of excitement dropping the chute. The chute filled strongly while the foot was being gathered nearly pulling the bow man over the rail. Allowed the guy and halyard to run free so that the chute turned from a sail into a flag. Dragged her aboard and stuffed her down the companionway. Re-ran the guy, cleared the halyard from the windward side of the boom and the mailsail battens.

Rounded R"8", set the chute and sailed to G"SC", by the lee at times. Finished first, then Wicked, then Second-2-Nun.
