Four boats came out to race: Argo #247, Laughing Gull #197, Lingin #244, and Wicked #267. Course "D1", simple downwind run to the drop mark "A" and back. Course was shortened during the race to finish at R"8". No issues with the chute at launch or recovery.
Pin favored by all boats at the downwind spinnaker starboard pole start. Argo gybed twice. Lingin once. Order of boats at "A": Lingin, Wicked, Argo, Laughing Gull. Lingin went far right with Wicked sailing towards Whitehall Bay, Laughing Gull far left, and Argo up the middle. At the cross Argo had passed Wicked but behind Lingin by some three or four boat lengths. Final boards saw Argo overlapped Lingin to leeward at a distance of about one to two boat lengths. At times Argo faster, at times Lingin.
Lingin finished first with Argo a few (3?) seconds behind.
