CANCELLED AYC WNR Series 2 Number 1 on 08 June 2016

Due to the AYC WNR Series being cancelled "WNR FOR THIS EVENING, JUNE 8, 2016 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO GALE WARNINGS AND SUSTAINED WINDS CLOSE TO 30KTS, GUSTS TO 40. HAVE A GOOD EVENING, SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!" decided to do some work on Constance

• Tightened the stuffing box about 1/2 flat. The stuffing box has been leaking steadily, about a drop a minute even when at dock with the engine shutdown. The result has been a puddle at the bottom of the bilge. The Rule 25S cannot remove all the water, so the puddle stays.
• Freed the spinnaker pole end cap release. The release was stuck. Tried to use the pole earlier this month without success. Working the release some resulted in grains or dust falling from the pole end. Continued working, including hitting it with a rubber mallet, freed the release completely. The grains? Sand from attempting to pole off the bottom after having run aground on the way into Smith's Marina on 24 November 2015
