Headed out from Yacht Haven Annapolis. Proceeded on engine to within 0.1nm of Horn Point due to what appeared to be soft wind in the river and better breezes at and beyond Horn Point. Raised sail. Course to R "6". Past R "6" by about a 0.1nm. Tacked to starboard (16:39), sailed close by G "5" to G "1E". As we crossed the river, the wind seemed to be heading us. Tacked at G "1E" (16:50) and headed for Y "A". From Y "A" (16:57), a fast, pleasant sail with the wind two points free to and under the Bay Bridge between the western most pier and the adjacent one to the east. Held on for about 0.2nm.

Came about (17:42) onto port tack, reversing course to Y "A", 255d as reported by the GPSMAP 192C . On this course, the Navigator Bulkhead Mount compass compass appeared to read 240d when viewed from the port cockpit and estimating the position of the lubber line. Needs looking into. Ending up arriving between Y "A" and R "4" due to obstructed view forward with folks sitting on the cabin top to port. Tacked to starboard, gained position windward of Y "A", tacked again and left Y "A" to starboard.

Fell off the wind at Y "A" to honor R "6", R "4", and past R "8" close aboard to port. Turned up into the wind; furled sail. Motored back to the Yacht Haven Annapolis.
