Arrived planning to sail. Started preparing the boat. Checked the marine weather forecast. Thunderstorms eight nautical miles west of Mayo. Small craft warning for the Chesapeake Bay from North Beach MD , which is south of Herrington Harbor, to Sandy Point Shoal Light . Scrubbed the sail. In the end, there appeared to have been little rain and insuffcient reason to have aborted.

Did a bit of work on various small items, which included determining that the Spinlock tiller extension pin is too short, or the ferrule mounted in the tiller too long, to allow the locking mechanism to engage. As a result the extension pulls out of the tiller whenever its used. Removed the ferrule from the tiller...had been bedded in silicone. Appears to be stainless steel. Hard to file down to size. Might be able to saw it. Need to check Fawcetts and West Marine for a shorted ferrule.
