Used Cetol Marine Natural Teak
to coat the outboard of the cockpit coaming and the top surface of the taffrail. Additional coat on the companionway hatch.
Standard procedure:
- Wipe down the surfaces with a rag
- Use a hook scraper to remove finish that has lifted off the surface
- Abrade the surfaces lightly with ScotchBrite
- Wipe down the surfaces with acetone
- Tape the deck and other gelcoat/fiberglass immediately next to the woodwork
- Apply the finish
- Once the finish has dried, waiting the entire day, remove the tape
