Course D1. Starting line just upstream from Horn Point. Upwind first leg. Great weather. Bit of chop, a bit of a confused sea, but nothing big. Whitecaps here and there but quite sparse.
Decent start. Started at the same time as Wicked but two boat lengths farther from the committee boat, and therefore at a disadvantage. Four tacks to reach the weather mark, "A". No meaningful errors. Wicked stayed to the left, heading over toward Greenbury Point, tacked there and then one more tack to fetch the mark. All told, Wicked did one less tack than we did. By the weather mark, we had lost ground significantly.
Uneventful downwind leg under spinnaker. Since it was course D1, had to leave G "5" to port before leaving R "8" to port. Stayed high on the reach to "1SC" so that the J-105 fleet would not sail over us. Did a good job of sailing nearly as fast as the 105's and J-30's despite our deep boat vs their canoe shaped hulls. Two tacks in the harbor to reach the finish line.
Finishing order: Wicked, Argo, Lingin with Tim Peek skippering, Skybird, and Second-2-Nun.
