block similar to 50mm All purpose single universal head block . Removed block does not have "Captive Lock" universal head. Installed a Selden
60 mm plain bearing block
. Purchased a pair at APS (Annapolis Performance Sailing)
with 15% boat show discount. Only one in stock. The other should arrive in few days. The second 60 mm plain bearing block
arrived and was installed on 21st October 2016.
Increased
- sheave diameter from 50mm to 60mm,
- pin diameter from 5mm to 6mm,
- maximum work load from 750kg to safe working load of 1,000kg,
- breaking load from 1,500kg to 2,000kg, and
- maximum line diameter from 12mm to 14mm.
Whipped the end of the starboard jibsheet.
Used trashed jibsheet block to measure water depth as an accuracy check of the ST 40 Depth
.

- 97 inches of line and removed 50mm block from starboard jibsheet track to bottom of slip
- 93 inches of line after accounting for the 4 inch block lying flat on the bottom
- 30 inches of freeboard from starboard jibsheet track to water surface
- 63 inches of water
- 53 inches of water per the depth sounder
- 10 inches to spare
