- Set up drill press in the cockpit
- Drilled and installed the backing plate for the port upper shroud chainplate.
- Drilled and installed the backing plate for the backstay chainplate.
- Found that I had forgotten to install a washer under the heads of the starboard upper shroud chainplate bolts. Removed the bolts and placed a washer there.
- Verified that all chainplate bolts with the chainplate bearing on the head end of each bolt and with washers under the head of the bolt, and a washer, lock washer, and Nyloc at the end of the bolt.
- Tightened all twenty-one bolts fully. Enough that some effort is required to turn the bolt. NOT as tight as possible.
- Remove drill press from cockpit.
- Throughly vacuumn out the cockpit using the Stinger Wet-Dry Vac
to remove all the tiny slivers of stainless steel created in drilling the twenty-one holes.

- Identified two lengths of lamp cord running from the starboard seat locker into the aft lazarette. Both are abandoned in place. Appear to be original equipment based upon ties with twine and being secured with small strips of aluminum(?).
- Identified one length of 14 AWG boat cable running from the starboard seat locker into the aft lazarette. Abandoned in place. The aft end has the female end of the connector for the Raymarine Autohelm 2000. Cable resistance is acceptable. Attached the cable to a 15 amp breaker. Cable showed 12.41v at the connector. Connected the Autohelm. No light, no reaction, appears unpowered. Power cable from the connector in the aft lazarette to the unit shows acceptably low resistance, yet no voltage when connected. Possibly the connector is too corroded, but the multimeter probes are penetrating the corrosion. More to come.
