- Removed the chocksfor a Danforth anchor situated athwartships behind the mast. Several of the machine screws passing through the deck were embedded in silicone.
- Removed the original port and starboard navigation lights. Penetrations embedded with silicone.
- Removed the U-bolt in the center of the foredeck. Penetrations embedded with silicone.

- Removed the aft head cabinet door to ease access while sanding.
- Donned the 3M Pro Multi-Purpose Respirator with 60923 P100 Organic Vapor, Acid Gas and Particulate cartidges.
- Sanded the knees and bulkhead that support the forward lower and the upper shroud chainplates.
- Used a chisel to scrape away some silicone that had been applied to the port and starboard shelves and their fiddles.
- Sanded the starboard half of the v-berth: side of the hull above and below the shelf, upper and under sides of the shelf, underside of deck, and inside surfaces of the v-berth hatch.
- Sanded the hull above the port side shelf and the upper side of the shelf.
- Used both the Ridgid quarter sheet sander
and the Ridgid multitool
to sand and to cut away various fiberglass drips and oddities.
