Endpoints: Smith's Marina to Smith's Marina
Purpose: First Coat of Paint on Knees and Bulkhead
Complement: Jonathan Bresler

  • Used a tack cloth to remove dust from the knees and bulkhead where the forward lower and upper shround chainplates and backing plates will be located.
  • Painted the first coat on the knees and bulkhead where the forward lower and upper shround chainplates and backing plates will be located.
  • Engine raw water intake thruhull is not secured. No retaining nut. This needs to be addressed.
  • Removed the 1/2" threaded nipple from the engine raw water intake valve.
  • Decided upon engine raw water connection: 1/2" thruhull, 1/2" valve, 1/2" 90 degree elbow, short length of 3/4" hose, 1/2" 90 degree elbow, tee for flushing system, strainer, 1/2" fitting, 5/8" hose to engine raw water pump. So many items to such a conceptually simple idea of getting raw water into the engine cooling system.
  • Removed silicone from the opening through the hull for the of the manual bilge pump using a 3/4" chisel to cut the silicone away from the hull.
