Drove two cars to Yacht Haven Annapolis Eastport MD . Drove my wife's car to Smith's Marina arriving at 09:20 after stopping to fill the gas tank. Verified that all thru hulls were closed. Launched boat via travel lift. After being set floating in the haul out slip, started engine, removed slings and set off. Slight weeping from head raw water thru hull...just like last year. Needs to be redone. Shoved off at 09:57. Left with care as we had run around on the way in last fall .
Doubled back on our course at marker "1S" in the Severn to access the current. At 2,500RPM making 4.9 knots downstream; upstream the same engine speed resulted in 6.1 knots. 0.6 knots of current flooding into the Severn River. Reached Yacht Haven Annapolis , tied up and shut down engine by 11:33. Spent about 90 minutes setting up the dock lines. Could not make up the port spring lines...seemed too short no matter which end was secured to the dock or the dolphin. The butterfly knot holding the spring clip was very firmly set. Ended up taking the port spring home so that I could free it over the next day or two.
