  • Rigged replacement outhaul with two double blocks, one with a becket. Harken 29mm Bullet Classic blocks purchased used at Bacon's for $55 in place of new blocks costing about $80. Purchase is now 4:1 in place of the previous installation using a single single block to provide a 1:1 purchase. Need to lead the outhaul line forward along the boom so that the outhaul can be adjusted on all points of sail.
  • Verified that the alternator "BAT" terminal is connected directly to the starter. Not good. Should be wired to the house battery and an SI-ACR installed between the house battery and the reserve battery as detailed in The 1/BOTH/2/OFF Switch
  • Found standing water in the port cockpit locker. The limber holes were clogged. Removed the water. Unclogged the holes. Removed the four pack of life jackets so that the could dry and air completely by hanging each one separately in the cabin.
  • Tested blower. Runs fine. Connected at this time to the second breaker in the electrical panel. Connected to flex-duct that runs into the engine compartment to exhaust air out of the engine compartment into the aft lazarette, thereby drawing fresh air from the cabin into the engine compartment.
