Purpose: Continue refinishing the chimney and teak trim pad. Continue painting v-berth.

Weather: Mid 70s, clear, beautiful day

  • Sanded teak cleat from front bulkhead of v-berth 150 grit and 220 grit using the Ridgid quarter sheet sander
  • Acetone cleaned teak chimney trim ring.
  • Applied first coat of Cetol Marine Natural Light to teak chimney trim ring.
  • Applied second coat of High Gloss White to
    • the hull to deck joint,
    • the forward bulkhead,
    • the aft bulkhead,
    • the hull above the shelf,
    • the top side of the shelf,
    • the under side of the self,
    • the vertical face of the forward hatch opening,
    • the area around the deck organizer located on the port side at the forward end of the coach roof,
    • the perimeter of the port side of the v-berth flat, and
    • a strip about two inches wide around each of the items above so that the rest can be rolled rather than brushed.
