Note: started recording the track a bit before shutting down the engine, and stopped after starting the engine.

Gusty, shifty winds making me crazy while I try to tack through 90 degrees, as TC does. No luck. Much larger tacking angles, despite trying to "feather" the boat into the wind by turning upwind and the boat heels significantly and off the wind as the boat stands up, trying to find a balance of more upwind angle, less angle of heel, and good speed. Starboard tack seems faster then port, still. Sailed out to the area of AYC WNR mark "D" twice. At after two laps, Leah had had enough. Time to head in.

The leech of the jib appears to be hooked to windward. Could be a source of the problem. Need to slack the leech line.

The shrouds on Constance are markedly tighter than on Argo. Constance's mast should stand straighter despite the wind, whereas Argo's should sag off to leeward a bit. This would help to reduce weather helm and may make feathering easier.
