Course B3. Started down the line closer to the pin end than any of the other boats. Start order appeared to be 484 at the boat, followed by 244, 267, 550, 197, and 247, arrayed from boat to pin. Argo had better boat speed than the rest of the fleet sailing close hauled on starboard. Two tacks got us to the windward mark ahead of the rest of the fleet. Tim Williams was not aboard LinGin. Glen Becker was driving.

Set the kite and drove with good winds on a tight spinnaker carry to the "B" mark.

Rounded and two tacks brought us to round the "E". Did not seem to have as much speed on the fleet as we did the first leg. Set the kite again, a bit of bother with it. The head and the windward corners had the sail twisted a bit around itself. The wet nylon would not slide against itself and untwist. Julian eased the halyard a bit while I stretched the leech to free the head twists, and then stretched to foot to free the windward clew twists.

A bit slow on the beam reach to R "4" and then to R "8". LinGin was closing the distance throughout but too slowly to change the finish order.

Finishing order: Argo, LinGin, Laughing Gull, Wicked, Skybird, and Second-2-Nun (DNC).
