Started recording the track at R "6". Tacked out of the river to past Y "AN". Turned back towards Annapolis when a J/80 from J/World did so. Noticed "Orion", an Alerion 28 (?) #53, and an Offshore 40 #53001. The Alerion is fast, was able to sail by my rather soon while pointing higher, appeared to be headed for Eastport/Back Creek. The Offshore 40 was able to pull ahead, but significantly more slowly. Chased the Offshore 40 through the harbor till I was able to speak with them as they rolled up the jib and lower sails.

Reefed as the wind rose and headed back out of the Severn to R "4"

At the end of the sail, spotted FRB 781 , Cochise, which is owned by Steve and Linda Dashew, I believe, anchored off of Eastport Yacht Club.
