Started recording the track upon raising sail. Due the winds, sailed with a single reef in the main and kept the reef the entire sail. Well developed sea state. Wind driven waves strong enough to slow the boat, under engine at 2,000 RPM, from 4.5 knots in calm water to 2.5 knots when powering into the wind. The Woodwind sailed under jib and main only, no sails between the foremast and the mainmast. The Alerion Orion was out as well, sailing under main only. The J/24 East Coast Championship began today, out in the Bay north of R "2".
Headed out of the Severn to R "4" and back, then out to the weather buoy and back. A bit of work to sail in these conditions. Boat often over at 30d, even saw 35d. Rail often buried.
