Installed ceiling on the starboard side of the v-berth using Home Depot Pacific Cedar Planks. Inexpensive at $18.00 for six. Needed five for one side. Very good material on which to learn. The topmost plank is tight against the shelf both at the fore and aft corners but down some XX in the middle. To do it right, the topmost plank needs to custom fit on top, fore, and aft edges. Custom fit all the planks on the fore edge. Will use molding cut from the same material to neaten up the fore and aft edges.

Need to scribe, cut, and custom fit a small, thin section for the last plank of the starboard side forward. Will do this at the same time as I do the same work on the port side.

Need to scribe, cut, and custom fit trim pieces to hide the mismatch at the forward and aft ends of the ceiling. Will do this at the same time as I do the same work on the port side.

Need to fit a fiddle to the shelf on both the starboard and port sides.
