First sail after having the hull cleaned on June 10th. Motoring at 2,200rpm resulted in over 5 knots in place of 4+ knots. Boat moved much easier through the water, both under power and under sail. The cleaning made all the difference in the world.
Used this as an practice run for the planned overnight trip to Sillery Bay on June 28th and 29th. Very nice weather with winds ranging from 7 to 16 knots. Constance felt so much better with her bottom cleaned. Able to hit 6 knots upwind and down. Boat appears to be a full knot faster. The engine does not seem to be underpowered any longer.
Jogged back away from the shipping channel at 12:10 to 12:15. At that time the tide was ebbing at more than 1.4 knots data from Chesapeake Channel LBB 92. Turned back towards the shipping channel to watch Onyx Arrow go past R "92", leaving it to port while we were north of G "91". Remarkable to see how much faster the car carrier was moving despite her doing "only" 13+ knots.
Turned around at 12:36. Leah was getting tired. Best to get back before she is completely exhausted.
At the start of our sail, watched the helicopter land and take off again from Minderella. Leah was a bit amazed to see folks enjoying a meal on the sheltered deck of Bella Lisa complete with wait staff.
