Sailing on Bumble Bee a Pearson 37. Motored out past R "4", set the main and rolled out the 140% genoa. Learned that just past and to the south of Horn Point there is an area as shallow as seven feet. The Person 37 draws six and a half, so we chose to avoid that area. Sailed with the boat a bit depowered. Knotmeter showing values that are clearly wrong, 4.5 knots while the boat was heeled and producing a single wave.

Sailed out past the Alethini at 38.94013° / -76.40614° before tacking, slowly, and passing upwind of R "2" within 10 yards. Returned to Yacht Haven Annapolis

Drove a bit on the way back in once we past R "2" and got somewhat into the lee of Tolly Point. Wheel steering, as in turn it like an automobile. Very strange feeling. Hard to remember to turn the wheel like that of a car rather than like a tiller. Got the hang of it after a couple minutes, but still felt backwards.

Powerful sails. Unable to move the genoa without cranking the winch once the sail started to load up. Eight to one purchase on the main, and good thing too, as it loads up strongly as well.
