Wind was blowing in the alley between the ChartHouse and the slip, then up the street. Exiting the alley and raised sail immediately. Caused a bit of mild confusion among the folks on the moored boats that I should raise sail and sail there. Repeated the same drill, twice more. Apparent wind of 8 to 9 knots when running wing and wing. Apparent wind of up to 17 knots when beating. On the last beat, the wind was about 12 knots.

Ran wing on wing down to R "4" and beat back to the Naval Academy.

New sail appears to be a considerable improvement in how the boat feels. Less heel, more upright, draft farther forward, less bubble at the luff.
