Course A1 which was then shortened to finish at the R "8". Downwind, spinnaker start.

Over early along with Second-2-Nun. Did not see why, as I was busy with the spinnaker on the foredeck. Took the spinnaker down into the cabin and rehoisted from there, after reattaching the snap shackle for the starboard spin sheet. No idea how that came loose. By the time we started, seemed that LinGin, Laughing Gull, and Skybird were half way to the turning mark.

By the time we neared the turning mark, perhaps 50 yards out, Laughing Gull and Skybird were rounding the mark, and LinGin was already reaching back to the finish. Caught Laughing Gull on the reach back to the finish due to Laughing Gull being hit by a series of wakes that stopped her dead in the water.
