Allowed Paul to drive nearly the entire time. Sailed up the Severn River, nearly to the Rt 50 bridge. Irregular winds. Appeared to funnel from the land on both sides of the river into the river, so that as one went from one bank to the next the wind continously headed the boat. At times, we were able to sail parallel to the southwestern shore as when we sailed towards G "1S" off Horseshoe Pt. At other times, we ended up sailing nearly perpendicular to the shore.
At other times, there was nearly no wind at all.
Kept the boat a bit underpowered, undertrimmed genoa and main, so that Paul might have an easier time of it. Paul kept trying to sail Constance like a dinghy, expecting response times of a second or two, not anticipating the need to arrest motioned once they are initiated, etc. Improved over the course of the sail.
