- Yesterday epoxied plywood for head and icebox shelf.
- Touched up epoxy for same today.
- Bought 9' of 3/16" dyneema to replicate the vang borrowed from Argo
- Started cutting away loose fiberglass from above the ballast below the cabin sole. Ugh. There is loose fiberglass from the foremost access panel back to the middle of the second panel. In order to remove the loose material, seal the top of ballast, and re-fiberglass would need to remove cabin sole. Perhaps I should just fiberglass over the open areas.
- Verified that knotmeter works
- Earlier the second access panel in the cabin sole had collapsed. Re-secured the aftside cleat and the aft half of the side cleats using #6 1-1/2" long screws. Need 90 degree drill head to secure the foreward cleat and the forward half of the side cleats.
- Cut overly long bolts on aft side of mastbeam.
- Applied first coat of paint on area below head floor.
- Third access panel in the cabin sole collapsed. The starboard side cleat did not fall. This cleat had fallen in an earlier season and was re-secured at that time.
- Re-secured the front and aft cleats using #6 1-1/2" long screws. Need portside done
- Bought #8 3/8” pan heads Philips screws to replace dodger studs on the cabin top.
