Interrupt mainsail, Tatus II genoa. High tide 10:31, 0.41' higher than low tide at 05:43.

Started out with a full mainsail. Took a reef in the main somewhat after passing mark Y"A" when the winds in the Bay force 5 consistently and edging into force 6. Very possibly faster with the full main, but the boat felt pressed down and was well heeled over. Hard to get her to level out a bit without heading up into the wind too much. Would have preferred to have the 135LP up in place of the 150LP. Developed waves in the Bay caused the boat to hobby horse a good deal. Not very comfortable at all between the angle of heel and the hobby horsing.

Shook out the reef as we approached Y"A" on the return ... that's the jog in the course from about 250 degrees to about 295 degrees.

Spotted Ruth Avery of How to Sail Oceans anchored off Eastport, near the Annapolis Maryland Capital Yacht Club. Spoke to Kevin for a moment, but did not delay him as he was moving from the boat to his dinghy to head into town.
