Interrupt main, genoa, and spinnaker. One race of two laps. Start and finish about 0.8nm north of Hacketts GC"1". Windward turning mark perhaps 300 yards east of Hacketts GC"1".
Sailed very well upwind. Reached the first mark in close company with LinGin. All other boats were noticeably behind, including John Kitschner and the Canadians aboard Argo.
After rounding the mark, the head of the spinnaker was twisted a number of times and would not clear itself. Let the halyard down a couple feet and the twists cleared. Lost ground to LinGin throughout the downwind leg.
On the second upwind leg, gained on LinGin, but not enough to close the gap. Rounded a one boat length in front of Argo.
Lost ground to LinGin again on the downwind leg. Held off Argo, finishing two or three boat lengths ahead. Second place overall in the Rankin.
Very satisfied with Constance's performance this day and the improvements made over the course of the season.
