Interrupt main with single reef and Tatus II 150LP genoa.

Stronger winds today. Reefed from the start. Very fast at times in the harbor and the river where the waves were not developed. Hitting 6+ knots with the wind abeam or somewhat forward of the beam. Continued fast till clearing Greenbury Point. Part of the reason, I believe, is that the genoa was somewhat slackly sheeted, dissipating some of the wind's energy, keeping the boat from being pressed down. Tried sheeting in harder, but that seemed to only slow the boat and force her to heel much more.

Tillerhead broke again! Boat was on starboard tack at the time. This is the original tillerhead that was fixed after it broke on the first day of the NOOD. Broke in different spot. Replaced the tillerhead with that purchased from Anchors and Oars in Graysonville. Rolled in the genoa. Sheeted the main in tight. Took about twenty-five minutes to replace the tillerhead and move the tiller from the broken tillerhead to the replacement. Headed back to the slip making 6+ knots, at times 7+, till upstream of G"5".

While sailing between Y"A" and Horn Point, it became clear that the way to deal with gusts, is to ease the main rather than try to bull through the increased heeling generating increased weather helm by using the rudder to force the boat to stay on course. 'Bout time I learned this.
