  • Removed Garhauer metal body block for the jib halyard. Replace it with a Selden composite body block.
  • Removed the VHF antenna. Replace it with a new antenna.
  • Removed link extender plates (6") and toggle from headstay attachment point.
  • Cap shroud tangs have 1/2"(?) holes sleeved to 7/16"(?) using a section of brass/bronze tubing.
  • Removed masthead anchor light. Replace with new LED light.
  • Tried to remove mainsail halyard sheave bolt. No luck. Both is seized to an aluminum compression tube/sleeve. Compression tube will not slide even halfway out. Applied PB Blaster.
  • Sunday night below freezing temperatures expected. Need to run glycol into the heat exchanger.
  • Connected the raw water intake line to a hose in a bottle of propylene glycol.
  • Started engine. NO water exiting exhaust.
  • Reving the engine did NOT produce water at the exhaust.
  • Level of glycol in gallon bottle dropped to about half after reving twice.
  • Found glycol in the engine oil. Water testing paste does not respond to glycol.
  • Sucked out the engine oil and glycol.
  • Changed the engine oil filter.
  • Add 1.5 liters of Rotella, all that I had onboard, to the engine.
  • Spun engine for 10 seconds with decompression levers activated to distribute fresh oil into the engine.
  • Where do the raw water system and the engine oil system meet?
  • Verified that the hoses from the rear of the heat exchanger to the the anti-siphon valve and from the anti-siphon valve to the exhaust elbow are clear.
  • Verified that the anti-siphon valve is clear.
  • Removed the elbow connecting the hose to the exhaust elbow. Verified clear.
  • How can the water be getting into the oil?
