- The new backstay eye swage fitting's 3/8" wide section is not long enough to allow the the pin to be inserted. See second set of photos. The swage is a Hayn ME08. Perhaps a Sta-Lok 130N-06 swage marine eye would work or perhaps a Sta-Lok 133-06 eye mechanical terminal. The eye mechanical terminal in 7/8" from pin center to where the fitting flares out from the 3/8" thick end.
- Sta-Lok fits! Tightly at one point when rotating around the pin. Will need to file that part of the backstay slot.

block as a replacement jib halyard block. Same block as being used for the spinnaker halyard.
