Course: A2.
Time limit: 2020.
Interrupt genoa and Interrupt mainsail with a single reef. Should have used a smaller jib.

Allowed TC to talk me out of a smaller jib.

Abientot, a J/35, lost their rig prior to the start.

Well developed rollers with spread out white caps rolling into the river from the east. Lost track of the time, off by a minute late, thought it was 90 seconds to go when it was actually 30 seconds. Should have just hung out by Horn Point rather than sail back and forth. Very poor start, ahead of Rinn Duin, behind LingGin.

The race committee used the Audible-Signal Racing System as detailed in Appedix U of the 2016-2020 Racing Rules of Sailing thereby contributing to the confusion aboard Constance.

Boat overpowered. Excessive leeway. Despite the quantity of wind, only making high 4 and low 5 knots upwind. Downwind hitting 7+ at times, mostly 6+ under main and genoa. Genoa largely ineffecrtive downwind. Perhaps we should have poled it out. Based upon the T2P.tv video, LinGin poled out their genoa (9:43 of T2P.tv video). Possible that they were sailing with a smaller genoa as well, based upon the size in the video. Appears that poled out, the genoa is well rounded without being baggy. They had the vang eased as well.

Finishing order: LinGin, Constance, Rinn Duin. Kahawai and Skybird did not start.

Did not leave for home till almost 9PM, which gave me the opportunity to test the lights. Verified anchor light, steaming light, deck light, bow lights, stern light, and windex light. All work as they should.
