Interrupt genoa, Interrupt mainsail.

Started on starboard tack at the boat with the Cal 25 One Eyed Jack and LinGin a bit closer to the pin. Laughing Gull started at the pin. Kahawai had a late start.

Shortly after the start, tacked to port and then back to starboard near the layline. We have done this many times before. Perhaps I remember, disproportionately, the times that this does not work. Both LinGin and Laughing Gull remained on starboard tack. Upon tacking back to starboard found ourselves well ahead of the Cal 25 One Eyed Jack.

Both LinGin and Laughing Gull, having remained on starboard tack till about ten lengths short of the port layline, tacked back to starboard near the starboard layline, LinGin some five boat lengths ahead and Laughing Gull about two boat lengths ahead.

Wind died completely before anyone rounded the single mark of the course. Floated and bobbed in motorboat wakes for about half an hour or more, with the Raymarine wind direction indicator at times pointing in a completely different direction from the Windex, till the race committee decided to abandon.

Finishing order: None. Abandoned by Race Committee. Herreshoff 12.5's were the only class to finish.
