NASS Race to the Lighthouses on 12 September 2020

Event: 2020 NASS Race to the Lighthouses results

Sails: Interrupt mainsail and genoa, EP spinnaker.

Rendezvous at 9AM. Race course from the R"2" at the mouth of the Severn River, north under the Bay Bridge, to round G"95" to port, back under the Bay Bridge, round Hackett Point GC"1" to port, round South River "SR" to port, that's all the course that Constance was able to sail due to a collision with SLY an X-Yachts XP-44 at South River "SR". See Protest Form below.

Prior to the collision, perhaps after rounding G"95" with a hard gybe, traveler car Torlon balls were dropping from the car onto the cockpit floor. One side of one of the end caps had broken allowing the balls to fall out. Need an Harken Midrange Non-captive Bearing Car Rebuild Kit (HMR99) . Ordered from Defender on 2020-09-14.

Damage:

• Wood block, at the aft port corner of the boat, under taffrail lifted from deck.
• Possible crack in fiberglass below the wood block under the taffrail.
• Stainless steel curved trim dented and flattened against hull.
• Stern pushpit port side heavily bent.
• Stern pushpit center bent upward.
• Stern pushpit center port upright ripped from its deck socket.
• Stern pushpit port end ripped from its deck socket.
• GPS antenna cable ripped at top rail of stern pushpit and at deck. Possible replacements "Garmin Low-profile Remote Antenna" (010-10052-04) and "GA™ 38 GPS/GLONASS Antenna" (010-12017-00)

• Ronstan RF1033 1/4" Keypin Locking Halyard Shackle connecting port lifeline to stern pushpit bent and no longer operable.
