Interrupt mainsail and 135LP genoa
From the time I stepped onto the boat till sailing with engine shutdown: eighteen minutes.
Spotted a "new" schooner sailing in the mouth of the Severn River. Initially believed her to be the Virginia. Decided to race her. First picked her up in the vicinity of R"4". After tacking to port, was able to sail both higher and faster than her. Deliberately slowed the boat to match her speed and observe her more carefully. She was under main, fore, forestaysail and jib. Assume that the wind was too light to allow her to really get moving. Heavier air would have had her running away at hull speed. Once we got to about halfway to Y"A", she board reached/ran back to near the Naval Academy. At that point, I was able to read the name on the bow: When and If.
