Purpose: Finish the Cabin Top. Prepare for Racing.

  • Brought the drawers back to the boat.
  • Brought the cabin cushions back to the boat.
  • Removed blue masking tape and paper sheeting.
  • Reinstalled teak rails at the top of the settee backs.
  • Scrubbed the cabin top before working on the deck organizers, line clutches, and cabin top winches.
  • Bought correct length bolts for all cabin top penetration at Fawcett's and WestMarine.
  • Bought sealant, BoatLife LifeSeal, for all cabin top penetration at WestMarine.
  • Note on bottom of Spinlock line clutch warns against polysulfide, recommends silicone.
  • Back to WestMarine to return the LifeSeal and purchase 3M Marine Grade Silicone Sealant.
  • Reinstalled deck organizers, line clutches, and cabin top winches with a generous loop of 3M Marine Grade Silicone Sealant around each hole (Meredith, Christian and I)
  • Ran the main, genoa and spinnaker halyards via the deck organizers and line clutches (Meredith, Christian and I)
  • Ran the topping lift and downhaul via the deck organizers and line clutches (Meredith, Christian and I)
  • Ran the first reefing line (Meredith, Christian and I)
  • Tightened all the setscrews for the stanchions (Meredith and Christian)
  • Supported the wiring running from the panel to the head via the port lockers by zip tying them to the toe rail bolts.
