Spinnaker practice. Went out. Set the kite. Gybed some eight times. Dropped the kite. Headed back upwind. Repeat.

Just before the end of practice while we have the kite on starboard tack, Kahawai, also on starboard tack, was headed downriver crossing our bow at a distance of 50 yards from port to starboard. Hello Mary Lou, a J/30, was headed up river under spinnaker on port tack. All some 1/4nm upriver from G"5". Kahawai crossed. When we got to within two boat lengths of Hello Mary Lou, we gybed to port and paralleled Hello Mary Lou to windward for a while, then deliberately fell back, took their stern, and gybed again for more practice. Meredith is much more comfortable with bow after this practice session.

Finished with a close reach into the harbor in force 3 winds, even touching 10kts apparent.

Lovely evening, even if a bit too cool.
