Sails: Interrupt 170LP genoa, main and spinnaker.
Sailed out under good winds. Saw a lot of 11.5 apparent on the way out. Happy with all three telltales streaming well of the main.
Found the Snipe Nationals first day of competition (video and results) underway out past the Annapolis weather buoy with more than fifty boats and three-quarter of a mile upwind legs. Sailed below the fleet at the start, well off the line, more than 100 yards. Sailed up the left side of the course. Crossed the course above the gate after the Snipes had started. Again well away from the fleet. Turned back for home.
Wind very soft on the way back. Threw up the spinnaker single-handed for the first time. No pole. Not easy to keep it filled without a pole to hold the windward clew. Dead downwind worked, mainly. Easy recovery via a leeward take-down. Flew the spinnaker from down river of the Annapolis weather buoy till turning away from Bembe Beach.
