Quite variable light winds in the river. Less variable and stronger, occassionally force 4 out past Y "A".
One the first return leg back from Y "A", Constance raced the Woodwind II from 14:26 to 14:37, starting ahead, paralleling about four boat lengths to windward, and ending behind some three boat lengths. All the while, Constance sailed a close reach to close hauled. Tried to keep the course no higher than 40* apparent.
Turned down sharply at that point to signal to the Woodwind II that should could come up to clear Horn Point or tack to clear. The Woodwind II tacked to clear while Constance went close hauled to clear.
