Sails: 135LP genoa and Interrupt main.
Lubricarted the Spinlock XAS line clutches with silicone. Pumped out the holding tank at The Yacht Basin as there was a too large boat blocking access to CIty Marina again.
Had fun chasing and paralleling an Alerion Express 28 #203 which has a single reef in the main. The Alerion Express 28 rates about 175 PHRF and so owes us about a minute a mile. The two boats are rather evenly matched in this configuration.
Great upwind sailing from the green day marks at the entrance to Back Creek up to Horn Point and then beyond. Twice the depth sounder alerted as I sailed to pass inside Horn Point on port tack, resulting in a 90* turn to starboard to clear Horn Point. The boat was moving so well and I was so entranced that I forgot to clear Horn Point. The second time, I had spotted Horn Point a couple times early on the tack and still lost awareness of the course relative to the day mark due to joy of sailing. Constance was well heeled over with the rail near the water, 135LP sheeting in tight and flat, main a tad below centerline with all tell tails streaming. Just glorious sailing upwind.
