Applied T-9
to the bolts holding a broken winch to the mast. Barrel and top of the winch in the v-berth, starboard side shelf.
In preparing to sand the cockpit lockers:
- Removed bilge pump tubing from thruhull.
- Removed aluminum angle iron bolted athwartships to the cockpit locker inboard sides. See photos.
- Tried to remove a teak block from the starboard locker front bulkhead. Bolts spin. A block to secure a fuel tank?
- In order to remove the teak block, removed the "comb" from the galley and placed it in the v-berth. Screws and finishing washers are in the same ziplock as the rudder head bolts.
- Disconnected engine electrical harness from instrument panel. Connectors will not fit through the opening in the bulkhead without removed the fuel line that shares the opening.

In order to replace the stuffing in the stuffing box:
- Removed water lift muffler to improve access.
- Removed exhaust hose from the engine to the lift muffler to improve access. Metal fitting came loose in place of hose from off metal fitting. Fitting sealed with a red rubbery material.
- Used T-9
to ease loosening the stuffing box locknut.
- Spun back the the stuffing box locknut using the 18" wrench and stuffing box tool from Summit.
- Spun the forward section of the stuffing box off the aft section. Pushed it far forward on the shaft. See photo.
