Somewhat more than two hours sanding the port side using the Ridgid R26011 5" random orbital sander and 60 grit Diablo 5" SandNet discs .
Focused on the area aft the forward portside stand to "get the red out". Successful over about 12 sq ft of hull. Sanding a lot of epoxy paint (blue) and barrier coat. The blue paint is much harder/slower to sand than the red ablative paint that I have been applying.
The mottled surfaces show the fairness of the hull based upon the thickness of the paint layer with red remaining in the deepest areas, blue in the shallower, and white in the highest areas.
