Somewhat more than two hours sanding the port side using the Ridgid R26011 5" random orbital sander and 60 grit Diablo 5" SandNet discs .

Started aft the forward jackstand and worked there for the first hour. After the first hour, moved to the area between the jackstands. The hard paint and the epoxy barrier dull the 60 grit rather quickly. Best to avoid those and stick to the "red" till its gone, revealing the blue and white areas.

The mottled surfaces show the fairness of the hull based upon the thickness of the paint layer with red remaining in the deepest areas, blue in the shallower, and white in the highest areas.

The stripe of red running fore and aft is at the turn of the bilges. Unable to fit the 5" in that area due to the tightness of the curve. Seems that I'll have to sand that by hand. Thinking of using a full sheet of 60 grit paper wrapped around a "pool noodle" for shape, support, and flexibility.
