Washed the areas filled yesterday to remove any possible amine blush.
Faired the areas filled yesterday using both the R26011
and longboard. Used the sander to remove excess fairing material and the longboard to fair in the remaining material. Significant improvement in the fairness of the hull, particularly the starboard bow.
Spent about two hours sanding and longboarding. Tired from yesterday's session.
Washed hull to remove sanding dust.
Applied FSR
to topsides. Tremendous difference. Remove nearly all the staining. A bit of rust marks remain.
Much happier today with the way the boat is coming along. After yesterday's fairing of the previous filling, felt as if the project had taken a step or two backwards, a loss of progress. Today's efforts of combining the DA sander with longboarding made a tremendous difference and moved the project ahead significantly. Ahead of where it was before the most recent filling. Thruhulls are coming along nicely...more to do but definite progress. Getting down to much smaller changes needed to have the thruhulls completely faired. Starboard cockpit scupper done or almost done, just a couple small voids to fill. Knotmeter close behind. The rest need another round of filling to acheive profile.
