- The start of today's efforts delayed by rain till about 10am. Allowed a couple more hours for the ground to dry a bit and the humidity to drop slightly. Per Pettit Tech Support, Petit Protect
should not be applied when the relative humidity is 90% or greater. This day, did not start mixing the two components of the primer till 1540 and starting priming at 1600. Was fortunate enough to see the sun appear for about an hour at that time
-
- Sanded the filled areas, the areas of the mid-rudder gudgeon and pintle.
- Cleaned the hull with denatured alcohol.
- Taped off the top edge of the area to be primed in preparation for bottom paint.
- Pulled the knotmeter blanking plug and filled the hole with a rag.
- Applied one layer of gray Petit Protect
. Used only about half a gallon. Went around the entire hull a second time and used nearly all of the gallon. Attempting to tip the rolled paint did not work out.
- Failed to reserve both resin and hardener to apply to the areas of the jackstands.
