Sails: Pandora mainsail, 135LP genoa, Interrupt spinnaker.

Motored out of the Potapskut Sailing Association. Answered a radio check call from a boat in Rock Hall while approaching R"10", a distance of more than 12nm. Reported that the radio aboard Constance transmitted clearly and distinctly.

After crossing the bar behind R"10", unfurled the 135LP genoa only.

Switched to the Interrupt spinnaker, starboard tack, only due to the direct downwind course towards the mouth of the Magothy. Made good progress. As Constance approached the mouth of the Magothy, the wind built and clocked north of west to west northwest. Needed to gybe and handle the force 3 winds. Decided to drop the spinnaker. Unrolled the Pandora mainsail, close to MRSA mark "B", fed the slides on the track and sailed under main and genoa the rest of the day.

Slowish, hard going north of the bridge due the lightness of the breeze, the variability switching from directly aft, to port side, to starboard side, and back, repeatedly.

Immediately south of the bridge the wind switched to the west at force 3 to 5. Now close reaching and close hauled on the wind on starboard tack. Argo had her racing main and genoa. Kept pace due to TC's rather uninterested driving and trimming of the boat and sails. Winds varyed enough to have the course from having us headed for a spot between Y"A" and R"4", east of Y"A", and even as far round as Tolly Point and back. Met a pair of J/105 's, Peregrine and Santas Reign, Dear, on the first port tack board in the Severn. Took the stern of both. Sailed along in company, at a distance, for a while on the two boards after R"4".
