Sails: Interrupt mainsail, 135LP genoa

Having been asked to serve as committee boat for the Cal 25 Boo Hoo Hoo race on October 30th, which is to be a high-point race of 4 to 6nm, sailed one of the possible courses. The possible course was G"9" to R"2" outside Chesapeake Harbour, Y"A", R"2" again, Y"A" again", R"2" again and return to G"9". Wind direction resulted in a broad reach to dead downwind run from G"9" to R"2", 179* True. From R"2" to Y"A", Constance was nearly able to lay the mark on port, requiring a board on starboard of six lengths the first time and about 0.12nm the second, to fetch the mark. Return from Y"A" to R"22" was a broad reach to dead downwind run, 122* True.

Saw winds ranging from 6kts apparent at the start to 12kts commonly upwind from R"2" to Y"A" with gusts to 15+kts. Gusts of equal magnitude on the last board to reach G"9", as well.
