- No work on the dorade box yesterday, as I wanted to first coat of Rustoleum High Gloss White
protective enamel to dry for 24hours before mounting the box for racing that evening.
- About 1300, sanded the first coat of Rustoleum white protective enamel with 220 grit sandpaper.
- Removed sanding dust with a tack cloth.
- There is enough dip on each side of the box that I need to sand by hand from here out. Using a sanding block removes the high areas only (see the first photo below). Perhaps I should have faired the top and sides more completely.
- Drilled a 1/8" pilot hole for the 2-3/8" hole saw.
- Applied the second coat of Rustoleum white protective enamel.
